I recently received one of the coolest gifts and that was my blog planner. My blog friend Amanda (www.naphtalismelody.blogspot.com) made it for me. A great and very much useful gift that I have already put to use. Now I am ready to blog every day!
If you know me it is very fitting. Thank you Amanda I love it.
This blog is about everything I enjoy. Crafts, cooking, fashion, makeup the list goes on.

Organizing My Makeup
Lately my makeup collection has been growing...rapidly. I had to create a way to organize it all in the small space that I have. I used white plastic drawers and made my own labels.
What I used for my labels:
1. Stock card to print on
2. Glitter foam with an adhesive back
With my eyeshadows I put it in a larger sized drawer set (that's what I have most of). Then I divided up my makeup into categories.
Then I decided to spruce up my vase that held my brushes with the same glitter foam. I like things to match.

Makeup Brushes with Bling
I decided that I wanted to bling my makeup brushes. So I went to the store and bought some mini round jewels and glued away.
What you need:
1. Gem Tac glue
2. Gems-mini
3. Tweezers
4. Makeup brushes or whatever else you think needs some bling
What I did:
I put a tiny dot of glue at the base of the barrel on the brush and then applied the gem. You could buy the peel and stick gems (which I did) but I still used the glue to put them on so they are permanent. The Gem Tac glue dries extremely fast.
I think I might try this on my mini hand mirror. So now you get your bling on.

Sweet Treat for your Hands and Feet
My husband always gets really dry hands in the winter. The other day I was telling him about this sea salt scrub Bath and Body Works has that is amazing. Then after I told him I thought to myself, "That is probably really easy to make yourself." Considering the fact that I hadn't looked for the product in a few years myself there could be a possibility that they don't even sell it. (You know how stores like to do that to you.) Not to leave out that it was like $20 a jar. So I made my own.
You can use sea salt & sugars (not powdered). Oils that you can use are endless. I just used baby oil but extra virgin olive oil and grape seed oil are great ones too. To give them a scent use pure extracts or essential oils.
The ratio: 2 parts salt/sugar to 1part oil then a few drops of scent if you want
My mixture: 1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup baby oil
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract and peppermint extract
I put mine in an air-tight glass jar that I got at the dollar store a while ago. This really didn't cost me anything but if I had bought all of it, it wouldn't have been $20 and I would have enough to fill the jar for a long time. I am going to try this with olive oil and dried thyme, lavender, sage etc.
I hope you guys try this.

Air freshener's for the fridge
When I was cleaning out my fridge this morning I was thinking of a way I could make it smell good. Of course baking soda is a great deodorizer but I wanted something that would give me a nice greeting when I opened the door. I decided to take some of my coffee (pre-ground) and put it in a glass with press and seal on the top with holes poked in it! I love the smell of coffee so why not. But if you don't like that sent you could do orange, lemon and/or lime peels too. Or even clove and cinnamon sticks or any spices. I would suggest NO chemicals of course, all natural. See my pictures below.

Today's makeup
I bought new colors from my Mary Kay consultant Carma Farrar and I thought I would share. My picture of my eye doesn't do the colors any justice but you can get the idea. I love this makeup.
From left to right in the first photo: Crystalline as my base. I put this all over my eyelid. Copper Glow. I start at the outer corner of my eye and shade my crease with a fluffy brush. White Lily. I used in the arch of my eye brow, the inner corner of my eye and just under my lower lid. Cherry Blossom blush is what I used on my cheeks. It gives the look a warm glow.

My first video and I am so excited to share. I hope you guys like it. They will get better as I go and once I figure out all the little things to perfect them. Thanks to my wonderful husband for being the camera man. I have also put a picture below of other sunglass cases.
